Calming Measures - Ghyll Road and Sheepsetting Lane - 2 January - 22 February
What works are taking place?
Following consultation in 2017, we will be introducing traffic calming measures along the lengths of Ghyll Road and Sheepsetting Lane. This will include the installation of speed humps, the construction of a raised section of road at the junction with Ghyll Road and Geers Wood and the raising of existing crossing point located near the junction with Treetops Way. In addition, we will be surfacing a section of road from Swaines Way to Hailsham Road, repairing sections of kerbs and installing new street lighting.
From Monday 3rd December 2018 - Friday 21st December 2018 there will be temporary, multi-way traffic lights in place. These will be manually operated during peak times.
These lights will be removed over the Christmas period and at weekends.
From Wednesday 2nd January 2019 - Sunday 27th January 2019 we will re-install the temporary traffic lights.
From Monday 28th January 2019 to Friday 22nd February 2019 there will be road closures on Ghyll Road & Sheepsetting Lane. There will be diversions in place and signs on site to give further details.
