About the club
The club meets every Thursday at 6:30pm for 7.00pm (Except every 5th Thursday when we dine elsewhere with our partners). The Club has been in existence for more than 50 years with a current membership of 30+ members.
The Heathfield and Waldron Rotary Club Benevolent Trust is a registered charity (no.1077361) set up:
"To apply both the capital and income thereof to or for the relief of the poor and needy or such other charitable proposes as the club shall in duly constituted meeting direct, providing such purposes are exclusively charitable within the law of England and Wales."
The club has supported a range of local causes for example:
James House Children's Hospice
Heathfield Opportunity Playgroup
Sussex Autistic Society
Individuals have also benefited for a range of needs and the Club has also supported charities involved in disaster relief, and international campaigns like:
Polio Plus and Sight Savers
The trust raises money through local collections and events, support for these events will enable us to continue and extend our charitable work.
Visiting Rotarians are welcome. It would be very helpful, but not essential, if you are intending to pay us a visit, would you please ring our secretary (see website: www.heathfield-rotary.org.uk) and let them know by 10.00am on the day.
