Do you know about Freegle? It is a UK organisation with nearly a million members dedicated to keeping good stuff out of landfill. This is our website:

There is a local group for Uckfield and Heathfield with 2,400 members - that's one of Heathfield's biggest local groups.

It allows you to give stuff away when you need to get rid of it but don’t want to throw it in the bin. Or save something from landfill by asking for it; perhaps someone has just what you need that they were about to throw away.

We would like to expand the Uckfield and Heathfield group even more; it is free to join, free to use and saves good stuff going into landfill. There really are no catches - everyone is a winner, including the environment.

How can you help us? Join the group yourselves, and see how it works - tell your friends, tell the people you represent - tell us who else we should be telling about Freegle. This is a wonderful community service; and it helps save the environment too.
