The Heathfield Hard of Hearing Group meets on the second Monday of the month from 2.00pm - 3.30pm at The Red Cross Centre, Streatfield Road, Heathfield.
The East Sussex Hearing Resource Centre is an independent charity based in Eastbourne with key aims of:
-improving the quality of life for deaf, hard of hearing and deaf blind people
-promoting their independence to lead more active lives within their communities.
From our centre in Eastbourne we offer a number of services including hearing assessments, sign language classes, deafblind support group, demonstration of assistive devices eg smoke alarms with vibration pads, flashing doorbell alarms and advice and information on all aspects of deafness.
In addition to this we also have the Mobile Advisory Service in the form of CLIVE, our bus, to take these services to rural communities, where as you'll know it can be challenging for the people who can benefit from our services to travel into Eastbourne. We also hold lipreading classes, sign language classes and hard of hearing support groups throughout the county.
