Heathfield Community Speedwatch

Wednesday 20th September 2017 9:35am

Heathfield Community Speedwatch has been set up by local people who are concerned about the speed of vehicles in the Heathfield area. We feel a Speedwatch group is necessary to protect children walking or cycling or being driven to school and other people who live and work in the area.

This is not a money-making exercise on behalf of the Police (letters are sent but no fines are issued) but a deterrent to speeding and to educate the public.

As a mum to young children myself, I would ask all mums, dads and grandparents to consider giving their time to help keep people in the Heathfield area safe on our roads. We are looking for volunteers to join the team (for as little as 1 hour a month, but you can volunteer more).

All equipment is supplied, you will receive training and you will always work in a team of 3. Please contact me for further information.
