Dr Sue Greener awarded Diamond Award by Christian Aid
Efforts by a tireless charity worker to help improve the lives of needy families at home and overseas have been recognised by being awarded a Diamond Award by Christian Aid. Mark Rodgers, Christian Aid's regional co-ordinator said "Dr Sue Greener was nominated for a Christian Aid Diamond Award because for many years she has run events to raise money to lift people out of poverty and to speak up for the poor who are often not heard. Well done Sue, you deserve it".
Dr Greener said "I have only been involved with Christian Aid for about ten years but I think of those people who have worked far longer than I have, stuffing envelopes, posting them through letterboxes or standing in the rain with collecting boxes. Some of what they do is mind-numblingly difficult. Any tributes really should go to them".
