Autism Sussex Store, Heathfield, Needs Volunteers

Volunteer recruitment

A popular charity shop has issued an appeal for volunteers to ensure it can continue to trade and fundraise successfully. The Autism Sussex store in Heathfield has always been very well supported by local people volunteering, but the number of volunteers has decreased in recent months.

Shop manager Vita said: “We are very lucky to have a fantastic team of committed volunteers in our shop but we’d love it if new people joined us. The shop does really well when we have more volunteers processing stock, serving customers and helping on the shop floor. It also creates a really vibrant environment in the store”.

There are a number of different volunteering roles available, including customer service, shop assistant, visual merchandising and stock processing.

The money raised by the shops provides local people with an autistic spectrum condition to receive the help and specialist support they and their families need.

Volunteering is a great way to learn new skills, gain retail work experience and meet new people. If you are interested in giving some of your time to help, please contact:
