Heathfield and the Heathfield Partnership have dealings with three layers of Local Government. East Sussex County Council who are Founding Partners and County Officers work with us on the Transport, ICT and Sport & Leisure Committees. Wealden District Council are also Founding Partners. In our early stages moving from a steering Group set up by the Parish Council into the Partnership they were undoubtedly the driving force. In those days they also provided officers for work on all of our early bids. Officers have played their part on the following committees, Farmers Market, NCR21, Sport & Leisure, Inward Investment and High Street. Cllr Dick Angel is the formal District Council representative on the Partnership Executive. He is also involved in the Police LATS and Sport & Leisure Committees. Heathfield and Waldron Parish Council, not only a Founding Partner, but our strongest Partner today. Every Executive Committee has at least one elected Parish Representative on the Committee. The Parish Council are responsible for the highest proportion of our base budget annual budget grant and we provide a monitoring report on all of our activities to their Finance and General Purposes Committee every time they meet. Cllrs Peter Newnham and Mike Woodhouse are the formal representatives on the Executive Committee. Cllr Newnham sits on the Inward Investment, Police LAT, Heathfield Works! and Sport & Leisure Committee. Cllr Mike Woodhouse sits on the Farmers Market Committee, Cllr Jean Holmwood sits on the ICT Committee and Cllr Bob Bowdler sits on the Transport Committee and Heathfield Works! committee.
